About Angela Cybulski

My name is Angela Cybulski. Welcome to one tiny violet!

I’m a writer-editor-teacher currently homeschooling my 12-year-old son. I have a MA in English Literature with a minor in Composition and have been a teacher most of my adult life. Before I had my son, I was teaching at the college level, writing, and preparing to live an “academic life.” But all that changed and here I am, a recovering academic trying to find her way back into writing and living an authentically creative life. I’m a Southern California native and that is where we make our home, but my husband and I lived in San Francisco and the Bay Area for years and we think of that as our second home.  I love Mediterranean food, Cary Grant, reading, baseball, red wine (notice me in the vineyard above), chocolate, my Catholic faith, John Keats, cooking, Mad Men, gardening, all things Italian and French, pre-Raphaelite art and poetry, A.S. Byatt, St. Therese, old movies, William Morris, and the color purple — and not necessarily in that order.

  1. Angela, this is an inspiring place to visit. As you know, beauty was at the core of the Pre-Raphaelite movement and with so much bad news and views around us ‘Beauty’ is much needed. I saw St Cecilia some years ago and it looks incredible close up! All my best to you with your creativity – you have superb inspiration here. Ruth

    • Ruth, thanks for much for coming over to visit. I am glad you found it inspiring — that is my hope! I’m very jealous that you’ve seen St. Cecilia. It’s one of my favorites — but everything Waterhouse did was simply ravishing. Please do visit again. 🙂

    • Thanks so much for stopping by and for taking the time to comment. I appreciate that a lot. Sometimes it’s a struggle for me to keep them up, but I do enjoy it. Thanks for the follow and I really look forward to chatting with you here, or on your blog, now and then. Take care. 🙂
